Evelyn Rowell Crews

Bloomingdale- Evelyn Rowell Crews, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015. She was currently living with her grandson, Duane Ekern and his wife, Kristie Maynard. Kristie lovingly cared for Evelyn for two years. She was born May 18, 1923 in Ridgeland, SC, daughter of Robert G. Rowell and Ruby G. Dean Rowell. Evelyn was a member of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church. She loved gardening, dominoes, her family and the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nealie Crews and daughter, Patricia Ekern, three brothers and one sister.
Surviving is her daughter, Janelle Mixon and son-in-law, Richard C. Mixon; sisters, Myrtle Rowell-Smith, Eva Calhoun and Barbara Ann Blocker; six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
I'm very sorry to hear of aunt Evelyn's passing! She looks so much like my sweet beautiful granny, Mamie Blocker! Granny and aunt Evelyn are rejoicing with our lord now! God Bless you all!
